About Richard Copperfield

Research Areas:
Asset pricing models, futures price behavior, econometric modeling, market microstructure, mutual fund performance, and stock market behavior.
He has over 30 years of experience in the finance industry and is widely recognized for his extensive expertise in equities, funds, foreign exchange, and futures markets.
His practice focuses on corporate finance, investment management, and financial risk and compliance, serving clients primarily in California, New York, and Florida. His key clients include large multinational corporations, financial institutions, and private equity funds.
He earned his Ph.D. in Finance from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania in 1985. He also holds two MBA degrees: one from the Castro Business School and another from Saint Joseph's University.
He began his finance career in Pennsylvania, concentrating on financial due diligence for M&A transactions and optimizing capital structures for small and medium-sized enterprises. He later relocated to New York, where his research and practical focus shifted to financial derivatives pricing, portfolio risk management, and regulatory compliance for financial institutions.
